Today’s Finds
I’ve been cruising downtown during the warm hours trying to make Raleigh look like a big city. These are some of the finds from today.
NYE #2 – Love Language at Slims.
Its 11:40 p.m. on January 1st, 2012. “Anyone know what time it is?” Stu asked. “We need to get a countdown.” New years happened again as the Love Language rang in the new year for Raleigh a night late. Felt good though. Dancing and drinking and singing made it worth having two new years eves.
This place feels like their home field. I’ve seen the Love Language play at Slims five or six times in the last half a year. Their music can be so in-your-face its nice to have a venue that allows for them to actually do that. The post show Elton John might have been the highlight. Imagine everyone singing and swaying to Tiny Dancer during the encore break.
